It was clear again last
night when The Selecter appeared with Special Brew that the
people of Coventry love seeing these guys on stage...........the
original pioneers of 2 Tone.
Great night was had by all. Neol came on with Aitch and joined
the band for a storming performance of The Selecter with the
brilliant Steve Holdway on trombone. Gaps then joined for James
Bond and then they ripped their way through Murder and Carry Go
Bring Come.
A memorable night was brought to a close when the guys got back
on stage for a finale of Train to Skaville & Too Much Pressure.
What strikes you when you meet these guys from the Specials or
The Selecter is what a great bunch of people they are, down to
earth and genuinely still passionate about the music and the
city it came from. |
